Austin Symphony and Austin Opera to Begin Their Seasons

     On September 13, 2019, the Austin Symphony Orchestra will open their 2019-2020 season with a performance at the Long Center, featuring pianist Jon Nakamatsu and Chorus Austin, with works by Mozart, Schubert and Duruflé. Austin Opera will open their season on Novermber 9 with Verdi’s Rigoletto. Austin Symphony recently ratified a 3-year collective bargaining agreement that includes improvements in working conditions and wage increases. Austin Opera ratified their current 3-year agreement last year. Tickets are available, so come out and support these great local Union institutions and keep live music alive and thriving in Austin!
