How much does it cost to join?
To join The Union, new members must pay at least one six month billing period's worth of membership dues at $100, plus local ($40) and federation ($65) initiation fees, for a total of $205.00.

Regular/Youth/Student Annual Membership Dues: $200.00
Dues if Paid Annually in the month of January ONLY: $190.00
Dues if Paid Semi-Annually: $100.00
Active Life Annual Membership Dues: $150.00
Dues if Paid Annually in the month of January ONLY: $135.00
Dues if Paid Semi-Annually: $75.00
Local 433 Initiation Fee (one-time): $40.00
Federation Initiation Fee (one-time): $65.00
Late Fee Per Month: $5.00
Local 433 Reinstatement Fee: $40.00

Per Article 9, Section 2b of the AFM Bylaws:
When all non-AFM members of a self-contained band or musical unit (consisting of two or more musicians) make applications together to join The Union, the total cost to join AFM Local 433 is only $100.00 per member. This is a huge savings whereas your group does not have to pay the Local Initiation Fee of $40.00 or the National Initiation Fee of $65.00. So organize your group and join today!
