Joe is a singer-songwriter & guitarist who performs regularly around Austin and throughout the Central Texas area. Previously a member of the group Folkwine, he has also performed at both the Kerrville Folk Festival as a member of the duo Joe Austin and at the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival (aka “Flora-Bama”).

Growing up in Southeast Texas, just across the river from Louisiana, he soaked up a wide array of rootsy music styles. You can hear it in the way he sings and plays guitar and, of course, in the songs he writes, which feature strong melodies, memorable lyrics, and lots of guitar.
