Local 433 President, Aaron Lack and Secretary-Treasurer, Nicole Bogatz hosted a booth at the Austin Music Foundation’s 6th Annual Feel the Love Music Industry Expo on February 18th at Emo’s Nightclub. Local 433 Member and City Affairs Committee Chair, Tom Van Schaik also joined the booth. Twenty-one music-support organizations focusing on advocacy, education, culture, and community also tabled. City of Austin Mayor, Steve Adler was also among those attending. It was great for our office to say hello to familiar faces and make connections with new ones. This was another well attended event. There were an estimated 300 musicians and other industry professionals in attendance throughout the evening. The officers spoke with everyone who passed by and made some great contacts in an attempt to recruit new members and continue building bridges between industry professionals.
